About Me Andy WallerPrincipal Software Engineer I started this blog because I want to share my passion about software development. I hold the belief that software development can be a delightful process, as enriching to the engineer as it is to their company. With adept technology choices, tooling, and process automation, companies should be able to deliver high quality products at competitive velocity, while still fostering a healthy and respectful work environment. software development can be a delightful process My intention is to leverage my experience in the software industry to put together some of the successful development patterns and reference implementations I’ve found. I have held a wide variety of positions in engineering over the years, including quality assurance, feature development, and management. The niche that I have come to love as my favorite, however, is that of internal tools development with a focus on improving developer experience and productivity. focus on improving developer experience and productivity Python is my jam! While I’ve had experience with many programming languages over the years, I’ve had the most success with Python. I’m a strong advocate for readable, maintainable, and extensible code, and as such, I love that Python leans into readability as a key feature of the language. For this site, most of the implementations and articles that I will be writing will be done with Python in mind, but I hope that much of what I provide will apply to other popular languages as well. Python is my jam! When not programming, I can most often be found hacking vehicles in my garage. I’m fascinated by all of the tools associated with repairing and customizing vehicles, and am especially fond of metalworking. I also really enjoy off-roading, vintage street motorcycles, reading novels, and playing video games. Instagram @awallergeek Follow on Instagram
